What the client needed
The client wanted a realistic 3D barge concept with a paddle wheel system, shown from multiple angles and also placed in a believable outdoor scene (river and bridge context) for presentation and review. The key requirement was realism and clear design communication,
Client Input
The client had the design concept of the product in mind. He laid that out on pieces of paper with a short brief for 7CGI Team.
Our 3D Visualization approach
After reviewing the brief, we offered our industrial product 3d rendering Service. Industrial products requirs slightly different approach than consumer product rendering. We started with clean studio-style renders to lock the shape, proportions, and details. After feedback, we updated the materials to match a fiberglass finish, then refined the design with a multi-material hull setup:
- Red antifouling below the waterline
- Blue mid-hull finish
- Sandstone anti-slip deck
- Galvanized steel look for the paddle wheels
We also adjusted the camera angle to better read the double-ended form and aligned the render perspective, which allows a complete view of the boat.
Result
The client signed off on the barge design and moved forward with a realistic river scene request. We then placed the barge into a bridge environment, matching lighting and composition to the provided reference.
