Exterior work is one part of 7CGI’s architectural rendering services. Location does not change the process or the price, but it does change the render. We set sun position from your site coordinates and select landscaping appropriate to the region, so a Phoenix render and a Seattle render of the same building do not look alike. 3D exterior rendering services create photorealistic images of a building’s exterior from architectural drawings, before construction begins. A studio models the building in 3D, applies real materials, simulates natural light for the project’s actual location, adds landscaping and surrounding context, and produces images used for marketing, client presentations, and planning approvals.
How much do 3D exterior renderings cost?
Exterior renderings typically cost between $400 and $1000 per still image. Price depends mainly on the number of views, building complexity, how complete your source files are, and how much surrounding context is required. Additional views of the same building cost significantly less than the first, because the model and environment already exist.
How long does an exterior rendering take?
You receive a first draft within 24 hours of project approval. Final delivery for one to four still images is typically 1-3 business days. Animations and 360 degree panoramas take longer, and rush delivery is available on request.
What files do you need to start?
Floor plans and elevations are the minimum, in DWG, PDF, or clear image form. A 3D model in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, or ArchiCAD speeds the work and lowers the cost. Material schedules, site plans, and reference images all help. We can work from hand sketches.
Do you offer unlimited revisions?
Yes. Revisions are unlimited and free for anything that is not a design change, including camera adjustments, materials, lighting, time of day, landscaping, entourage, and mood. If the building’s design itself changes after modeling is complete, that portion is requoted.
What resolution are the final images?
Up to 4K and 8K, print ready at 300 DPI. You receive JPEG, PNG, and TIFF as standard, with layered PSD available on request.
Do I own the images?
Yes. Full commercial usage rights transfer to you on final payment. You can use the renderings in advertising, brochures, billboards, listing portals, social media, and investor materials, with no time limit and no additional licensing fee.
Can you produce aerial and bird’s-eye view renderings?
Yes. We produce elevated and aerial views for masterplans, multi-building developments, and planning submissions, including aerials composited directly into real drone photography of your site.
Can you place my building into a photograph of the real site?
Yes. This is called photomontage or context integration. Send site photographs and we match the lens, perspective, lighting, and atmosphere so the building sits correctly in the existing scene. It is commonly required for verified views in planning applications.
Do you work with residential and commercial projects?
Both. We cover single-family homes, custom builds, multifamily and apartment buildings, offices, retail, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
Can you render from a rough sketch?
Yes, provided the sketch establishes dimensions and intent clearly enough to model from. We show you what we have interpreted before rendering, so nothing is guessed at silently.
Do you provide interior rendering too?
Yes. Many clients order exterior and interior renderings together for a complete marketing package, which is also more economical than commissioning them separately.
