Process Development

Over the first collections, we built a repeatable pipeline that keeps quality high and turnarounds predictable:

  • Brief & intake: No CAD/STEP/OBJ files, just reference photos, finish charts (powder coat, teak stains, wicker weaves), references for lighting, and retouch.

  • Master asset approach: One “source of truth” per SKU family with versioning, naming conventions, and reusable sub-assets (frames, cushions, tabletops, hardware).

  • Angle & crop system: Standardized hero, detail, and PDP angles by product type to keep retailers consistent (site and marketplace like Costco and Amazon).

  • QA at three gates: 1) Clay geometry, 2) Material/lighting check, 3) Final export, photorealistic rendering (file names, alpha, background, shadow catcher).

Shapes and Detail Approval

Accuracy drives trust, so geometry gets signed off before shading:

  • Modeling from photo refs: Clean topology; correct wall thickness; realistic cushion volume; seat/back pitch respected.

  • Joinery & manufacturing detail: Weld seams, miter joints, wicker weave direction and repetition, screw locations, and glide caps etc.

  • Tolerance checklist: Gaps, fillets, chamfers, and stitching density verified against tech pack expectations.

  • Clay previews: Neutral lighting clay renders for pure form approval before any materials are applied

Materials and Shaders

We built a material library tuned to outdoor furniture realities:

  • Powder-coat metals: Subtle orange-peel, edge flow, correct gloss levels, spec/roughness breakup for realism.

  • Teak & hardwoods: End-grain variation, micro-roughness, optional weathered sets (silvered patina) for seasonal updates.

  • Wicker/rattan weaves: True strand cross-section, micro-bump for fiber breakup, correct weave density and curvature over frames.

  • Performance fabrics: Weave-level normal maps, accurate colorways, measured roughness/spec for believable highlights; piping and seam detail.

  • Consistent lighting: Calibrated soft-box studio for PDP; HDRI-based natural light for lifestyle to keep brand tone unified.

Awesome Product Photos (CGI)

Photoreal “photos” rendered to a consistent retail spec:

  • Studio set: Soft-box rig with ground shadow catcher; crisp yet natural reflections; clean white/neutral backgrounds.

  • Angle kit: Front three-quarter, side, back, top, hero close-ups (weave detail, stitching, hardware).

  • Export standards: Exact pixel dimensions for PDP/marketplace, sRGB, transparent/solid background variants, retailer-specific naming.

  • Batchable colorways: Finish and fabric matrices output from the same master asset to eliminate reshoots.

Create Virtual Spaces for Lifestyle Renderings

We design believable environments that sell the product story:

  • Scene families: Coastal deck, desert poolside, modern rooftop, suburban patio, hospitality courtyard.

  • Art direction: Season/time-of-day passes (morning, golden hour, dusk), prop styling (planters, textiles, tabletop), camera depth-of-field for premium feel.

  • Performance-ready: Crops for homepage hero, category banners, ads, and social — all aligned to brand moodboards.

Results & Impact

  • Speed: New colorways and retailer variations generated without reshooting.

  • Consistency: One visual language across SKUs, seasons, and marketplaces.

  • Scalability: Master assets enable fast rollouts for new lines and promotions.

  • Cost control: Fewer on-location shoots; quick updates when finishes/fabrics change.

We Can Help Your Brand Too

Whether you manage seasonal outdoor lines or a year-round evergreen catalog, we can plug into your workflow:

  • Free sample on one SKU to evaluate realism, color accuracy, and turnaround.

  • NDA-friendly collaboration; we’ll match your lighting and retouch standards.

  • Retail-ready exports for your site, Amazon/Wayfair/dealer networks, and social.

Let’s talk.
